FACILITIES SUPPORT STAFF (PART-TIME)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections of the facility and grounds” identify and address maintenance and repair needs.
- Complete minor repairs and maintenance tasks as authorized by supervisor.
- Monitor and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
- Maintain facility equipment and ensure safe, functional operations of all spaces.
- Maintain vehicle logs, perform basic checks, and ensure routine fueling and upkeep.
- Assist with transport or pickup of supplies and donated items as needed.
- Monitor facility conditions and report larger repair or safety concerns.
- Provide minimal custodial support, including basic cleaning or sanitation tasks only when necessary to maintain safe and usable spaces.
- Maintain organization of maintenance areas, storage spaces, and equipment.
- Participates in agency performance quality improvement efforts and support overall facility operations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of general maintenance, repair, and facility operations.
- Ability to safely use tools, equipment ladders, or scaffolding as needed.
- Basic understand of cleaning and sanitation practices (secondary to maintenance role).
- Organization and time management skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork.
- Ability to model professionalism ethics, and cultural sensitivity in all interactions.
- Follows OCYFS code of ethics.
Agency Requirements:
- Must be able to pass initial and random drug screening and maintain annual TB card
- Must have a current Arkansas Driver’s license and insurable under OCYFS’s commercial vehicle insurance policy for those whose job requires provision of transportation.
- Must receive child maltreatment clearance through the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central Registry.
- Must receive adult maltreatment clearance through Arkansas Protective Services-Adult Maltreatment Central Registry.
- Must receive Arkansas State Police criminal background clearance as mandated by Arkansas Department of Human Services, Minimum Licensing Standards for Child Welfare Agencies.
- Complete CPR/First aid and behavior management training when job requires working directly with clients in residence
- Must attend and complete all staff development trainings as required by grantors and agency
- Must participate in agency-wide PQI program
- Must maintain current licensing or certification for any position that requires such
