RESIDENTIAL SERVICES DIRECTOR
Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervises, schedules and evaluates direct care staff.
Insures that emergency shelter care is performed according to OCC’s mission, policies and procedures, funding, performance indicators and OCC’s vision and beliefs.
Trains direct care staff on all shifts and identifies unmet training needs.
Monitors shelter record keeping documentation.
Conducts weekly shelter client staffing.
Coordinates, schedules and participates in all on and off campus activities for OCC residents.
Attends and be present at all special client activities for residents/events when sponsored by or involving outside organizations (liaison between OCC and community).
Prepares/maintains readiness for all State, local, or other licensure inspections.
Ensure safety, organization and cleanliness of building in coordination with OCC maintenance staff and Executive Director.
Participates in on-call rotation.
Participates in OCC’s quality improvement and serves on assigned committees.
Reviews performance quality improvement reports to identify areas of needed improvement and participates in developing and implementation solutions to improve quality of service.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field plus one year’s experience in managing a childcare facility, or a High School education and five years’ experience in managing a childcare facility.
Supervisory experience required.
Demonstrates knowledge of non-profits.
Demonstrates knowledge of Arkansas licensing regulations.
Demonstrates excellent communication skills
Demonstrates ability to be a team leader and motivate others.
Practices excellent organizational skills.
Practices and models conflict resolution skills.
Follows OCC code of ethics.
Ability to collect and analyze data.
Demonstrates cultural sensitivity to OCC’s clients and families.
Agency Requirements:
- Must be able to pass initial and random drug screening and maintain annual TB card
- Must have a current Arkansas Driver’s license and insurable under OCYFS’s commercial vehicle insurance policy for those whose job requires provision of transportation.
- Must receive child maltreatment clearance through the Arkansas Child Maltreatment Central Registry.
- Must receive adult maltreatment clearance through Arkansas Protective Services-Adult Maltreatment Central Registry.
- Must receive Arkansas State Police criminal background clearance as mandated by Arkansas Department of Human Services, Minimum Licensing Standards for Child Welfare Agencies.
- Complete CPR/First aid and behavior management training when job requires working directly with clients in residence
- Must attend and complete all staff development trainings as required by grantors and agency
- Must participate in agency-wide PQI program
- Must maintain current licensing or certification for any position that requires such
