A center-based program that serves persons with developmental disabilities. We offer pre-vocational services including Work Activity Program, Adult Development Program, and Pre-Employment Transition Services. We are a vendor for Arkansas Rehabilitation Services (ARS) for Supported Employment and E 1st, and we are a vendor for Social Security's Ticket to Work program.

We also offer support and follow-up services to those trainees that are placed on jobs. Some of the jobs/training presently performed here at AUI are assembly, packaging, quality assurance, material handler, equipment operator, retail sales, and life skills classes.


Arkansas Apprenticeship Pathways Initiative (AAPI)

AAPI provides outreach on registered apprenticeship programs to organizations that support targeted underserved populations to ensure that those looking for work are aware of the opportunities available and have appropriate guidance on referral processes and benefits of participating in apprenticeship programs. They provide a HVAC Technician apprenticeship through National Park College.
