The agency's services are 14 senior activity centers across the 10-county West Central Arkansas region, offering Meals on Wheels, group meals, socialization, recreations and educational activities, wellness programs and activities and other services to seniors. The agency’s skilled and passionate staff cares for Arkansans of all ages. Arkansans may apply for a vast array of services at their local county office as well as online. Services include AR Kids First health insurance for children, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP, formerly known as food stamps), Transitional Employment Assistance (TEA) and Medicaid. Additionally, DHS protects children and the elderly who have been abused or neglected.
